this was a game called "nice doggy". You had to pet the dog without smiling.

This Saturday we had a "Barn Raising" for a church activity. There is a family out on one of the many farms in our area, that needed help putting up a barn. So we got together with all our families. The women and kids played games in the front yard, and shared treats, while the men worked. There were so many men who showed up to help. I saw the man whose property we were working on look at all the work going on, with a look of wonderment that they would all come over just to help him. It got almost finished. They're going back next Saturday to finish the roof.
