project 52 - week 17

I am grateful for Madeline Bailey and that she will be a part of our family.

Maddie was born, Monday April 21, and will be the proud daughter of Chris and MaryAnn Miller. ( my wonderful brother and sister-in-law)

They will be great parents, and they deserve this Divine blessing in their lives so much.

I think I share the gratitude of all the family for Bailey, the birth mother, for recognizing Chris and MaryAnn as the Family that Madeline is meant to be an eternal part of. Life is good!!

Project 52 - week 16

I'm grateful it wasn't worse. Our van got sick this week. At first is was just a runny nose (leaking radiator fluid, 1 gallon every 4 days), then it got a fever (the A/C blew in 95 deg. weather). Then it felt it should rest and get off its feet. (the tread flew off of the rear tire on the freeway in California.) It finally got to see a doctor (our neighborhood mechanic), and luckily it can be saved. There were a few more boo-boo's than it originally thought. The good news is that it will live, and it can go back to work.

Kitchen update

April 5, we put up the backsplash, yes we rented a wet saw and made all those little cuts our selves. (and attended 4 different baseball events, and watched as much general conference as we could.

Time to grout. It was almost as much fun as putting up the tile!!!

Project 52 - week 15

Brady!!

I'm so grateful for the wonderful man he has grown into. He is fun, with a great sense of humor, and enjoyable to be around. His spiritual growth is amazing. He has been very beneficial with helping others in the ward just by setting a good example.

However this week I am grateful that he finally got the raise at work that he's be waiting for. He was promoted from courtesy clerk to the Bakery, with a raise, and daytime 8-5 hours!!! Before he was working nights. Bored all day at home while his friends and brothers were at school, then having to go to work at night when everyone else wanted to hang out. Now he will also be free to attend institute, and go to the missionary prep. class. Yeah!!

Project 52 - week 14

I'm copying my sister's idea!! Project 52--- for each week of this year, I find something to describe that I am thankful for. This is week 14:

I'm grateful that I have so many opportunities for exercise, and that they are all so convenient. I have several workout videos. There is a great aerobics class at the Church every Mon., Wed., & Fri. And I have discovered Yoga... I'm pretty sure I put my hip out of alignment doing kickboxing. It hurt for 5 days, when I had to decide to see a chiropractor or try Yoga. I tried the cheap option, Yoga, and from that point on there has been no pain in my hip or surrounding muscles. I love this stuff.

Also it entertains kids. Zach was watching me last week, and when I was in the pose called "proud warrior" he said "It looks like your surfing". He's right, that is what it looks like.
