updates on Brady's Mission

I've received some nice comments about Brady's mission call. Here is one from one of my Dad's friends:

What wonderful news!!! Our youngest granddaughter has served for nearly 16 months in that mission and she just loves the people. They are very receptive to the gospel there and very good to the missionaries. She'll be leaving that area about the time your grandson gets there. She had the opportunity to fill thousands of sand bags during the floods this winter and spring and was so impressed with getting to do that service. She even got her picture in the Church News. The Mission Pres. and his wife are just super people and they take such an interest in the missionaries there.
Hope all goes well now,
Love, LaNae

The more time that goes by the more excited I am for him. This will be such a great opportunity for growth, and he has so much to give. Brady is such a caring person, he seems to notice little details about people feelings through their behaviors, and he cares enough to take the time to find out about them. I believe this mission will be an opportunity to help him learn to be a leader.

I want to go out and start buying him the things he needs, but I'm afraid that any warm clothes I buy for him in Las Vegas, won't be up to par for that cold area of the country. We'll just have to start looking soon, and maybe shopping on-line. I can do that, that is one of my talents.

Brady's Mission Call

After exercising so much patience, Brady finally got his mission call. He is going to the South Dakota Rapid City mission. Actually it incorporates all of South Dakota, North Dakota, most of eastern Wyoming, and parts of Nebraska & Minnesota, and touch of Iowa and Montana. He wanted to go someplace cold. He got his wish. His mission extends right up to the Canadian border.

He'll report to the Provo MTC on October 21st.

I'm so happy for him. He may not get to use the passport we got him, but this will still be a great experience for him.
