I've received some nice comments about Brady's mission call. Here is one from one of my Dad's friends:
What wonderful news!!! Our youngest granddaughter has served for nearly 16 months in that mission and she just loves the people. They are very receptive to the gospel there and very good to the missionaries. She'll be leaving that area about the time your grandson gets there. She had the opportunity to fill thousands of sand bags during the floods this winter and spring and was so impressed with getting to do that service. She even got her picture in the Church News. The Mission Pres. and his wife are just super people and they take such an interest in the missionaries there.
Hope all goes well now,
Love, LaNae
The more time that goes by the more excited I am for him. This will be such a great opportunity for growth, and he has so much to give. Brady is such a caring person, he seems to notice little details about people feelings through their behaviors, and he cares enough to take the time to find out about them. I believe this mission will be an opportunity to help him learn to be a leader.
I want to go out and start buying him the things he needs, but I'm afraid that any warm clothes I buy for him in Las Vegas, won't be up to par for that cold area of the country. We'll just have to start looking soon, and maybe shopping on-line. I can do that, that is one of my talents.

How exciting for all of you! When my brother-in-law and his family lived in Alaska, they did a lot of their shopping on-line at Lands End. They say the secret to dealing with the cold is layers. I don't know if that helps any.
