Snow Day!!

Monday, we woke to snow!! The earliest report we have is that 4:00 am is when it started, and it continued to snow until night time, but only in our west/north-west area of Las Vegas. Around 5:00 we went to Brady's concert with the Mormon Youth Choir, and it was still snowing in my neighborhood. Tuesday, it mostly melted. Wednesday it started again, but this time the snow was all over Las Vegas, and we made the national news. They closed down the airport, and call a "snow day" for the all of the schools. This is what it looked like in my back yard Wednesday night. By the way, my boys and several neighbor boys spent more hours outside this night, than at any other time.

The next day when school was cancelled, the snow stopped. It was a great free day from school. We decided to go find some hills to sled on, but at all of the parks with hills, the snow was melted or rolled away. We went back to the Stake center that has a large dip where there is a water grate for "flood" times. (anytime there is real rain).

Zach made a snow man.

Darian was really good at taking chances and falling

Calvin thought it would be great to use the sled as a snow board.

By the end of the day, more than one child had a turn to cry. As they throw snowballs at each other, they don't think that it might hurt when they get hit by one. Even with the tears, they all had a great day.
