October, 2007.... After an all too long, too hot summer, it is so wonderful when Fall comes and you can finally spend time outdoors again. (without having to be in the pool) After school one day Zach and Ethan volunteered to help rake the leaves. I've been a mom for 18 1/2 years, and I'm still learning that kids are so much more capable than I give them credit for. They both worked so hard, and had fun doing it. I don't know if my other boys ever had the opportunity to rake leaves and play in them. They did however get lots of experience with shovelling decorative rock and planting when they helped us landscape the pool area, and then the back yard retaining wall.
